It's been a long time...

Howdy All,

Time is flying, but what's new?  I see our last post was October 2009.  What's happened since then?

1. Three Davis's in Raleigh had a little H1N1.  (We have renamed Jen: Wonderwoman).
2. Jack went to Taiwan, specifically National Chiayi University to present at a Symposium.  Great experience.
3. Jen and the kids went to the NC state fair (I missed it!... dreaded swine flu).
4. Jen and the kids went to Cedartown to visit family and got to see Ricky Skaggs & the Kentucky Thunder!
5. Jacob turned 8 and wore the big sombrero!
6. Jen and I headed up "Trunk or Treat" at our church.  This is a small carnival in the front parking lot to serve the local community.  Jacob was a magician and Lucy was a Mermaid (Ariel).  We were fortunate to have Mimi and Pop up to help and to enjoy this event with us.  Jen, myself, Mom and Dad were all cowboys and cowgirls.
7.  Jason "Uncle" Stump came up to Raleigh to visit while on business.
8.  Today, SJB held a joint service with our French Congolese sister congregation and it rocked!  A beautiful jolt of energy.
9.  Tonight, Jacob and I went to the 2009 Fall Outing for the YMCA Y-guides program.   We are proud to be "second years" and tonight we held our torch and watched all the excited first years coming down the processional for the induction ceremony.

Sometimes it feels like we are keeping an exceptionally busy schedule, and we are, but we are tremendously blessed and try our best to not take this for granted.  Yesterday, we had a nice Saturday with no real appointments and just enjoyed working around the house and catching up on a few things.

Here's a few recent pictures:
